Students hungry for a first foot on the career ladder are being invited to apply for a 1 year undergraduate placement programme with local Cyber Tech company, MetaCompliance.

The company are looking to recruit ambitious undergraduates to fill a number of paid internship positions including; Digital Marketing, Software Development, North American Business Development, European Business Development and Operations.

MetaCompliance has been developing software and training for the Cyber Security and Compliance market since 2005 and is growing rapidly as worldwide demand for its products increases.

Cyber-attacks now pose a greater and more complex threat to businesses than they did several years ago, and cybersecurity has now become a key priority as organisations look at ways of strengthening their defences against this evolving threat.

To meet with this global demand, the company has invested heavily in its staff and recently announced a separate recruitment drive of 30 graduates for its Derry office.

Robert O’ Brien, Chief Executive of MetaCompliance commented on the new internship programme: “We recognise there is a shortage of placement opportunities for graduates in the North West and without the necessary experience, students are finding it difficult to enter the jobs market.

“Internships are an invaluable way of providing students with hands on experience that will enhance their skillsand provide opportunities to further their career.

“The practical skills and experience that students will gain by carrying out an internship at MetaCompliance, will not only provide a taste of what it would be like to work in cyber security, but it will also greatly increase their employability in a competitive jobs market.

“It’s critical we invest in homegrown talent and we are keen to attract people that are hardworking, innovative and can share their ideas for the development of the business.”

To support its continued growth, the company plans to grow its workforce by 30% over the coming yearas it steps up sales in North America and across the globe.
