In all RST provided 19 point of sale terminals, five ticketing terminals and six self service kiosks to the gift shop, galley, bistro, Olympic and Britannic Suites and Bridge Bar at the Titanic visitor attraction.
Arlene Foster said: “This important contract for RST, one of the most successful and progressive technology businesses in the North West, shows that the massive investment at Titanic Belfast is benefiting other parts of Northern Ireland.
“RST secured the business because it is a technology leader with a strong commitment to the delivery of excellent customer services in terms of providing bespoke products, expert installation and superb customer services.
“This strategic commitment in innovation has resulted in the company securing business throughout the UK, the Republic of Ireland and further afield. The business at Titanic Belfast provides this ambitious company with a marvellous showcase of its technology.”
Neil Bradley, RST Sales Director, commenting on the contract, said: “Winning the business with such a prestigious client as Titanic Belfast was a tremendous endorsement of the quality, flexibility and functionality of our technology.
“We secured the business because we were able to offer the client a fully integrated system for transactions both throughout the venue and via their website. Our ability to respond quickly to the client’s requirements from our Derry and Belfast offices was another important consideration.
“iTouch Point of Sale software, in particular, is a powerful, yet easy to use point-of-sale solution for a range of applications. It’s a very versatile and proven solution for any type of retail and catering outlet that’s been shown to help improve customer service and to maximise profitability.
“Our system provides important benefits to operators in terms of helping to provide speedy transactions, accurate stock and security features. It’s fast, intuitive and simple to use. A key feature of the technology is a touch screen interface that helps reduce staff training times and operator errors,” he added.
