It's not often you can buy a Derry-produced marmalade that has been classed as the best in the world.  Today, local company C&M’s Pantry will be selling their world award-winning marmalades – plus their jams, chutneys, breads, biscuits and cake – at the Walled City Market in the Guildhall Square from 11-5pm. Marmaladeers Cathy and Michael Quigley say they were “over the moon” to have been given three awards at the World Marmalade Awards at Dalemain House in the Lake District, Cumbria. They were awarded a Gold Award for their Orange, Lemon &Lime marmalade, and two Silvers, for their Seville marmalade and their Orange &Lemon marmalade with Redcurrant liqueur. The picture shows Cathy and Michael receiving the Gold award from Dan Lepard, one of the judges and Jane Hasell-McCosh, founder of the World Marmalade Awards at Dalemain Mansion.
