The railway line between Derry and Bellarena was closed for a time on Thursday evening after an empty cargo ship ran aground near the tracks.
And local photographer Kevin Carlin captured these dramatic images from the scene.
According to reports, it is believed the vessel was on its way to Turkey when it got into trouble off Culmore Point and ran aground near the railway line.
A small tug boat was dispatched from Lismore Quays which towed the vessel back for inspection.
Translink had earlier advised passengers that train services between Derry and Bellarena were disrupted due to an obstruction on the line and that bus substitutions had been in place. The line has now been reopened.
