Police searching for missing 14-year-old Noah Donohoe are appealing for specific information.

Superintendent Muir Clark said:  “Noah left his home in South Belfast on Sunday 21 June at approximately 5.30pm on his black Apollo mountain bike.

“He was wearing a black skateboarding helmet, khaki green North Face jacket, grey sweat shorts with an emblem on one leg, a tie-die blue hoody, Nike trainers with a bright yellow ‘tick’ and carrying a khaki rucksack.

“Noah was seen on Ormeau Avenue at 5.45pm on Sunday evening.  He is then sighted again on Royal Avenue heading towards York Street a short time after.

“Noah was then seen on North Queen Street heading towards the Limestone Road at 5:57pm.

“An eyewitness believes they saw a young male matching Noah’s description fall off his bicycle on Sunday evening, possibly sustaining a head injury, in the vicinity of North Queen Street/York Street, but we do not know the specific time.

“We believe Noah got back on his bicycle, cycling into Northwood Road where he then abandons all his clothing, as he is seen a short time later cycling while naked. We believe Noah then dropped his bicycle and left the area on foot.

“Despite a significant search operation involving local and specialist officers, specialist police dogs, our air support unit, assistance from community search and rescue colleagues and the public, there have been no further confirmed sightings of Noah since 6.11pm on Sunday.”

“So far we have recovered Noah’s Black crash helmet, black Nike trainers with yellow tick, blue tie-die hoody, bicycle, and mobile phone. We have not yet found a green khaki North Face coat, grey sweat shorts and a green backpack containing a Lenova laptop.

“While we appreciate and are incredibly grateful for the support and help we’ve received from the community right across North Belfast, I have a specific request for the public.

“I really need people to check their own property. We are looking for a young, slim 14 year old boy. Check your gardens, sheds and outbuildings for any sign of Noah. If you have a car or caravan that hasn’t been used in a while sitting on your driveway, please check. If anyone has had clothing go missing from washing lines, we need you to call us. If you are a landlord or own vacant property in the area, please check your property for any sign of Noah.

“Noah’s family and police are incredibly concerned for his safety.

“I appeal directly to Noah if you are watching this on the TV or listening on the Radio, or seeing this appeal online, you are not in any trouble. Just call us, let us know that you are safe and we will come to you.

“If any of Noah’s friends know anything that might help us to find him, again, you are not in any trouble. Just call us on 101 and let us know.

“Noah’s family and police are very concerned for Noah as this is completely out of character.

“We need help from the public to find him. If you have any information please contact police immediately on 101 quoting reference number 1619 of 21/06/20.”
