PSNI are warning 02 customers of a scam designed to clog the 999 number for emergency services, possibly causing danger to life for someone who really needs help.

A spokesperson said: "Apparently there is something circulating on social media advising O2 customers to ring 141999 to get a refund after the data issues yesterday"

This message has been seen by thousands but is a malicious prank and should be ignored, police said.
