A 44 year old man will appear in court this morning (Monday 21/07) charged with attempted murder.
The charges are in connection with a stabbing incident in a house in Summer Meadows Park, behind Crescent Link retail partk, shortly after 3am on Sunday 20 July.
A 43-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment for a stab wound to his back.
The 44-year-old is also charged with threats to kill, attempted grievous bodily harm, 2 counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, common assault, possessing an offensive weapon in a public place and possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence.
As is normal procedure all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
