Mirror artwork will cast a light of protest against a hard border

A major demonstration against a hard border is taking place in the form of a giant artwork this weekend.

A spokesperson for the organisers posted the following statement:

"Bring a mirror to Killea on the 27th of October to participate in a giant Artwork against hard borders. Participants are invited to join Artist Duncan McKellar in creating a huge circle of people with mirrors on the border. A drone will film from above as the mirrors reflect the sun to create a circle of light in the face of Brexit chaos. Free to attend.

This project is about raising awareness for the need of seamless interconnection of people, trade and cultures.

We will be meeting outside the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Killea at Midday before walking to a nearby field on the border. Bring sensible footwear, a mirror (the bigger the better) and as many friends as possible.

(Parking available behind the Alt Bar Killea)."
