Inga-Maria Hauser’s nephew, Viktor Liebl made an emotional visit to Ballypatrick Forest, near Ballycastle on Sunday to lay flowers at the recently erected memorial stone placed there in her honour.
During the visit he paid tribute to all those who had pursued justice for his aunt for the last 30 years.
Liebl emphasised that the tragic death of his aunt does not colour his feelings for the people of Ireland, North and South and he would return again to experience the friendliness and sincerity of those he had met in the last few days.
SDLP MLA for East Derry John Dallat who brought Liebl to Ballycastle said: “It was a great honour for me to meet Inga-Maria’s nephew and to spend time with him assuring him that the grief of the Hauser family is our grief and that of the entire community throughout Northern Ireland and beyond.
“Throughout this island people are praying and hoping that the highly skilled detectives from the PSNI currently working on the case will have success in the courts because only then will there be justice.
“During his visit Viktor had the opportunity to visit the Glens of Antrim and walk the Peace Bridge in Derry as well as tour the walls of the city.”
