A search on the River Foyle for missing Creggan man Gary Campbell continued again today (Sunday) but without success.
A spokesman for Foyle Search & Rescue (FSR) said that it can take up to six weeks for the river to yield up a body.
Today's search which covered the Foyle from St. Johnston right down to the mouth of the river. Unlike the search yesterday (Sat) today's search did not include members of the Campbell family.
Mr. Campbell is reported as having attempted to enter the river at 11.20pm last Friday night, March 20th, but was prevented from doing so and brought home.
However, he returned just a few hours later and was recorded on CCTV entering the water at 3.20am last Saturday morning, March 21st.
A spokesman for Foyle Search & Rescue said that searches were ongoing at low tide and will resume tomorrow, Monday March 30th.
