The parents of Constable Philippa Reynolds, the PSNI officer who lost her life to joyriders at Dale's Corner in 2013, came to the Temple today to leave in a memorial plaque to their daughter.

They were accompanied by the Mayor of Derry, Councillor Brenda Stevenson, and the Foyle Area Police Commander, Chief Inspector Tony Callaghan.

Mervyn and Dorothy Reynolds received a special plaque from the PSNI in honour of their daughter which they placed at the beautiful Temple structure at Bard’s Hill in the Waterside.

The intricate piece created by Burning Man creator David Best, who met with the Reynolds’ at the site, will be symbolically set alight on Saturday evening, carrying messages and tokens left by hundreds of visitors since it opened to the public at the weekend.
