Police appeal over city burglaries

Police in Derry are appealing for information in relation to a number of burglaries.

A silver Renault Megane was stolen during a creeper burglary a house in Malin Gardens during the early hours of January 2nd and found abandoned in the Inishowen Gardens area causing damage to a parked vehicle.

An oil drum was taken from a shed at Creggan Broadway and jewellery and a laptop taken from a house in the same area. Around the same time a Toshiba laptop taken from a house in Leenan Gardens.

Police in Foyle are also investigating the theft of a horse trailer, registration JNZ 4720, valued at £4,000. It was taken from a property on the Gortilea Road in Claudy sometime between 2.30pm and 11pm on January 2nd. The trailer has numerous American novelty number plates on the back door of the trailer. Anyone with information about the theft or current whereabouts of the trailer or any of the other burglaries is asked to contact police on 0845 600 8000.
