Police issue renewed appeal on missing Limavady man

Police in Limavady have issued a renewed appeal for information in relation to missing man James Frew.

The 63-year-old was last seen on the afternoon of Saturday, December 10th when he left his house at 1.50pm to walk the family dog. The pet was found tied to a post beside the River Roe at O’Cahan’s Rock in the Roe Valley Country Park around 3.30pm.

A police spokesperson said: "His family are understandably very anxious to hear of any news regarding his whereabouts. We particularly want to hear from anyone who would have seen James during the early hours of January 10th right up until he was reported missing. James is described as being 5'7'' tall, and was wearing a brown coat, jeans and black boots when he left his house and was carrying a walking stick."

Police and other agencies have carried out extensive searches of the river and country park area.
