SDLP Foyle MLA Sinéad McLaughlin has welcomed an £89,000 resurfacing scheme for Derry’s Trench Road.

The resurfacing will commence on 3 August 2020 and is scheduled to last for four weeks. It will improve the surface quality of the road and its strength.

McLaughlin said: “I very much welcome this latest improvement to the road infrastructure in Derry. My party colleague infrastructure minister Nichola Mallon is doing a fabulous job in addressing problems in our local transport network and this latest investment follows her approval of a feasibility study into further improvements in Derry’s rail connectivity. Improving our transport system is central to our ambition to improve the economy and quality of life for all people in the city.”
