Sinn Féin MP Elisha McCallion has said the party’s new economic document focuses on tackling regional imbalance and transforming the north west.

“Sinn Féin has launched the party’s consultation document on developing an economic strategy for the north of Ireland.

“At the heart of this document is tackling regional imbalance, expanding Magee University and transforming tourism projects in the North West.

“We need a step change in economic policy and performance – we are working with the business community, trade unions, and civil society on how to bring about this step-change.

“In the coming weeks, we will bring this discussion and document to Derry to gather the views of local businesses and the community about how we can transform the economy.”
