Society Street Indoor Market will be one year old on 6 August. As stall holders gear up to celebrate its first birthday, we take a look at Derry’s top venue for alternative shopping.
SOCIETY STREET INDOOR MARKET will shortly celebrate its first birthday, having opened its doors on 6 August 2018. As Belfast has St. Georges market, which has been a huge success, Society Street’s founders thought: why not try it out in Derry-Londonderry, to give shoppers a mixture of foods, hand made goods , plants and antiques from local people who live close by, many of whom were starting up in business for the first time. Over the past year, stall owners have been thrilled and surprised by how much the market has grown as a community. From the regular customers who come in on their certain days, to the stall holders who attend, there is always a good atmosphere. If you are starting a new business, or have an idea and need somewhere to trade, Society Street can be contacted on 028 71271010 or by email email@example.com
