Stroove Beach in Donegal had to be closed for 2 hours on Sunday, after a large swarm of Lion's Mane Jellyfish were washed in on a tide.

The Lion's Mane can grow to over 6ft long and while their sting is not fatal it can cause serious pain and redness on skin.

The beach was reopened after the jellyfish were washed back out on the tide, and has now been declared safe again for swimming
