Discover all you need to know about making it in the local food industry at the Taste Our Best - 'Producing, Pitching & Promoting Provenance’ Conference one of the many fantastic business support opportunities on offer during this year’s Enterprise Week.
The conference, which takes place in the Guildhall on Monday March 5th, will give an insight into the work of some of the leading figures and brands in the industry, as well as some top tips on how to forge a path to culinary success.
Some of the leading ambassadors for the local food industry, award winning chefs Neven Maguire and Brian McDermott, and food guide gurus John and Sally McKenna, will also be taking to the stage to talk about their own work and what support is there for emerging businesses.
Enterprise Week 2018 runs from March 5th-9th, and has become the biggest annual business event in the North West attracting some of the leading names in the business sector. The programme is packed full of talks, workshops and networking opportunities offering the very best support and advice for both fledgling businesses and companies hoping to take their enterprise to the next level.
Mayor of Derry City and Strabane District, Councillor Maolíosa McHugh, said anyone working in either in the food retail sector or restaurant industry would find the conference extremely useful.

This year’s audience will have the opportunity to learn how leading retailer Dunnes Stores are repositioning their businesses to take advantage of the emerging food innovators across Ireland. The chain has just been named top grocery retailer in Ireland according to the latest market data from research group Kantar World Panel. Brand Manager with the company, Diarmuid Murphy, will reveal the secrets behind the company’s success in driving customer engagement, and take a look at the future of the chain’s Simply Better brand.
For those starting out in the industry and seeking some inspiration, there will also be the chance to hear a number of supplier case studies, from those who have created their niche in the retail arena and those who are still on the journey. Or find out more about the art of the sales pitch and some hot trends for the year ahead.
