Three men fined for offences under Counter Terrorism Act

Three men appeared at court in Derry on Thursday 11th February in relation to breaches of notification requirements under the Counter Terrorism Act 2008.

45 year old Thomas Ash Mellon, 34 year old William McDonnell and 51 year old Jason Ceulemans, all from the Derry/Londonderry area, were found guilty and fined £300 each.

Detective Chief Inspector Andy Hamlin said: “All convicted terrorists are required to adhere to requirements set out in the Counter Terrorism Act 2008, and detectives from the Terrorism Investigation Unit continue to actively investigate those who breach these requirements and bring them before the courts.”
