A flag protest billed as a 'Unionist Civil Rights Rally' is being planned for Ebrington on the day of the annual Bloody Sunday Commemoration March on 27th January.

The rally has the support of the Progressive Unionist Party (PUP) and the United Kingdom Independence Party (UKIP), who say they are supporting the event as a peaceful demonstration.

The rally will form part of the ongoing protests at Belfast City Council’s decision to fly the Union Flag on designated days only.
