Derry’s plastic-alternative source the UseLess Shop has been recognised with an award as Derry’s ‘Most Sustainable Business’.
The UseLess shop allows you to ‘use less’ plastic and harmful chemicals with a whole range of eco-friendly products, including soaps and shampoos, razors, beakers, bottles, and above all, advice.
UseLess spokesperson Ruth O’Callaghan said the shop is aiming “to bring awareness of the epidemic that is single use plastic, and the impact it is having to our planet, and all other environmental issues we are suffering from. As always, if anyone would like to know more please get in contact through The UseLess shop Facebook page or Zero Waste North West.”
The award was given at the Nutts Ball in the White Horse Hotel, hosted by the Derry chapter of Junior Chamber International. Proceeds on the night were kindly donated to local addiction charity HURT.
UseLess is open on weekends at Society Street Market.
